Not All E&O Policies are the Same . . . Neither are All E&O Providers

The Rice family and their colleagues have specialized in state-mandated real estate E&O programs since 1989. We provide the group policies in all 15 states that have group programs and require real estate licensees to maintain insurance. We also provide an independent program in one mandated state. Most insurance providers use one entity to sell the policy and another to handle claims. Because we do both, the information we provide about the policy reflects how it will actually apply in the event of a claim. Providers who don’t administer claims may not know how the carrier actually applies the policy when a claim is made.

Our adjusters only handle real estate and appraisal E&O claims, so they have developed expertise in this field. They are also knowledgeable about retaining experienced defense counsel, when necessary, in all the states where we provide coverage.
