RISC Continues to Offer Independent E&O Insurance to
Kentucky Licensees in 2008
Rice Insurance Services Company, LLC (RISC) is pleased to offer Kentucky Licensees real estate errors and omissions coverage. Continental Casualty Company, one of the CNA insurance companies, is the insurance carrier for the program. CNA is rated “A (Excellent)” by A.M. Best. This program is designed exclusively to provide independent professional liability insurance for Kentucky real estate Licensees. RISC is located in Louisville, Kentucky and will provide the servicing (claims handling, policy issuance, marketing mailings, etc.) for our Kentucky program. The Kentucky-based management team of RISC specializes in handling programs in states with mandatory real estate E&O insurance requirements.
Licensees may purchase independent coverage as long as it meets the minimum requirements established by the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC). Our independent program meets the requirements of the KREC and includes the standards set forth in the Kentucky Real Estate License Act.
We are pleased to serve the Kentucky Licensees and want to work with you to make this a successful program. The biggest advantage to our program is our experienced claims handling and claims management philosophy. We are the only mandated program manager who handles claims administration, and it is our belief that the program's success is dependent upon its effective claims management.
We are able to e-mail the Private Carrier Certification of Coverage to the principal broker to include with your license renewals. Also available is an enrollment for Supplementary Endorsements. These may be distributed to your licensees for their individual purchase. We can send these endorsements directly to the individual licensee.
Principal brokers are responsible for ensuring that each of the Licensees at your firm has appropriate coverage. Please review your mailing materials for information regarding the program and additional coverages available. If you are affiliated with a franchise with specific insurance requirements, please call us to discuss the Franchise Endorsement (which can be provided at no additional charge).
